People across the world, especially in the United States, celebrated Halloween on October 31, 2025. Among them was Drew Barrymore, 50, who marked the holiday with the annual Halloween special of The Drew Barrymore Show, featuring television host Ross Matthews and actress Valerie Bertinelli.

The trio did not seem to hold back on their love for the October 31 holiday. Barrymore believes that Halloween is the one day on the calendar where you can be a little freaky. "There are no attachments. There's no baggage. It's not like, 'Oh boo hoo, I don't have family and it's the holidays,' you know," the Charlie's Angels star explained, as quoted by PEOPLE.

"Also, you get to be the freak that you are, and that's and brated," continued the 50 First Dates star. "I wish every day was Halloween because it's just a positive holiday," she added.

The 50-year-old actress was joined by Ross Matthews and Valerie Bertinelli. The talk show host explained why Halloween is her favorite holiday while dressed in a costume inspired by her previous role in Grey Gardens, the performance that earned her a Golden Globe in 2010.

The three then asked the members from the audience to guess each of their costumes: Bertinelli as Hagrid from the Harry Potter franchise, Matthews as "Pink Pony Club," inspired by Chappell Roan's hit song of the same name, and Barrymore as "Grey Gardens," appearing to nod to her Golden Globe-winning role as Edie "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale. The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays on CBS (check local listings).

Meanwhile, Barrymore, 50, became the latest celebrity to be “arrested” by Sabrina Carpenter during a fan-favorite part of the Short n Sweet Tour, according to Just Jared.

The 26-year-old pop star’s latest show at Madison Square Garden happened to fall on Halloween night. This was nothing short of a perfect moment for Barrymore to channel her classic Scream role by appearing in a Ghostface costume.
