Al Roker of "Today Show" gave an impassioned speech in his first live appearance following his harrowing hospitalisation for blood clots. Al Roker told his co-hosts on the "Today Show" segment that he hosted from his home that it had been the worst one yet and that he had undergone several surgeries and said it has lived a hard slog, “I'm not going to lie, it has been the hardest one yet." He expressed gratitude for a lot of things and individuals.

Al Roker claimed that he is extraordinarily grateful for the prayers and goodwill that have helped him get through this. He was incredibly fortunate.

Hoda Kotb, the anchor, then questioned Al about the future of his recovery. He claimed that throughout his four weeks in the hospital, he lost a particular amount of muscle mass each week.

So, there is a particular element of frailty, he said. He regularly had occupational therapy and physical therapy. He needs to regain his strength.

Al claimed that although he had intended to have a knee surgery in January, he had to postpone the procedure since he was still healing.

Al went on to say how terrific he felt. He feels powerful. He made dinner the night before, and each day was better than the one back.

He claimed that he expects things to be a bit of a grind. However, other people deal with a lot more while having much less at their disposal. He considers himself to be extremely fortunate and blessed. He continued by expressing his gratitude to the outstanding nurses and medical team of New York Presbyterian for their excellent work.
