The story of Hyper Knife follows Jeong Se-ok, a former neurosurgeon. Jeong, portrayed by Park Eun-bin, was once highly successful in her field. However, after being expelled by her mentor, Choi Deok-hee, her life takes a dark turn.Choi Deok-hee, played by Sul Kyung-gu, was a trusted figure in Jeong’s professional life. However, their relationship fractures, leading to professional expulsion. Jeong Se-ok later works in a secret underground surgery clinic as a shadow doctor.

In Hyper Knife, she embraced the demanding role of Jeong Se-ok.Park mentioned in an interview with Deadline that portraying a neurosurgeon required her to understand medical practices. She noted the challenges of learning about complex medical procedures for the role.
