Production Team
Trey Edward Shults directs the film. He has also worked on other projects like Krisha and Waves. Shults co-wrote the script with Tesfaye and Reza Fahim. Tesfaye, Fahim, Kevin Turen and Harrison Kreiss have produced the movie.Tesfaye performed songs from his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow during the recent Grammy Awards. This was his first appearance at the event after a long break. He performed a mashup of two tracks from the album.

Album Delay
The album Hurry Up Tomorrow was initially set to release on January 24. A concert was planned at the Rose Bowl the next day. Due to wildfires in Los Angeles, both were postponed.
