Hurricane Milton is expected to make its landfall on the Western Coast of Florida, either on Wednesday late night or on very early morning of Thursday, reported USA Today. On the other hand, ABC News reported that Hurricane Milton will make landfall between 9pm and 11pm on Wednesday. Hurricane Milton is currently classified as a Category 4 Hurricane, though primarily it was categorized as a Category 5 hurricane.

According to officials, the maximum devastating speed which Hurricane Milton can attain will be eventually disastrous and it will have maximum sustained winds of about 130 mph. USA Today reported that Hurricane Milton is projected to hit near Sarasota which is a significant part of the south of Tampa Bay area.

Hurricane Milton is generating significant concerns as it approaches land because of its destructive potential for storm surges and heavy rainfall. Eminent forecasters have issued warnings that Hurricane Milton could bring storms with surge heights of up to 15 feet in some areas alongside rainfall totals reaching 18 inches, noted USA Today.

Evacuation measures in Florida are already underway for the preparation of Hurricane Milton while many residents are being urged to leave by the authorities before conditions worsen more. USA Today claimed that Hurricane Milton’s intensity and size are expected to increase as it gets near to the coast while making it one of the most destructive threats to the region in over a century.
