"The Music Man" has extended its Broadway run, and Hugh Jackman is not leaving River City for now. Due to popular demand, the producers of "The Music Man" have decided to prolong the final performance of the hit musical, which was about to end its run on January 1, 2023. The hit musical will now present its final performance on January 15. It stars Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill and Sutton Foster as Mariana Paroo. Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks has directed "The Music Man," which is a new version of Meredith Wilson's classic musical.

The hit musical started its preview performances in 2021 after facing many delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. "The Music Man" officially began in early 2022. While talking about the extension, producer Kate Horton stated that the audiences were still hungry for "The Music Man." Horton also thanked Hugh, Sutton, and the entire company for agreeing to do 16 more performances. Horton added that "The Music Man" would be remembered long after its end.
