A shooting incident at Minnesota State Fair on Saturday night injured one person. The victim sustained a gunshot injury in the leg and was rushed to the hospital.

However, the shooting did not reduce the enthusiasm of the fairgoers as thousands came to enjoy the event on Sunday. The shooting occurred just after 10 pm when the person was shot near the entrance of the Midway. Police presence has doubled since the shooting, but no arrest has been made so far.

Chaos

Officers spotted fights and teenagers running just before the gunshot at around 9 PM. Ron Knafla, Minnesota State Fair Police Chief, said that around 12 police officers were within 20 feet of the gunshot. He said the officers did a commendable job containing a chaotic situation.

Crowds jumped fences and ran towards the exit following the gunshot. Consequently, the fair was closed early. Forgetting the shooting incident that occurred the night before, thousands thronged to the Minnesota State fair on Sunday. Corn dog stands and beer tents were full of fairgoers as many people patiently lined up for buckets of cookies.
