Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves Jr. appoints physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer to work on the top-secret Manhattan Project during WWII. Oppenheimer and his team of scientists work for years to conceive and create the atomic bomb. Their efforts bear fruit on July 16, 1945, when they witness the world's first nuclear explosion, which irrevocably changes the path of history.

Additional winners in the feature categories on Tuesday at the Television Academy's Wolf Theatre included John Wick: Chapter 4 for sound; Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for color grading in an animated film; and Avatar: The Way of Water, whose team at Weta FX received the VFX award. (The event was eligible from September 2022 to September 2023.)

The new category for achievement in restoration was won by Paramount Pictures' work on Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 masterpiece The Godfather. Barry, House of the Dragon, and The White Lotus were among the series recipients.
