Inspired by the 1997 survival thriller 'Anaconda' featuring stars like Jon Voight and Jennifer Lopez, HK Cinema has come out with the Chinese remake of the film, reports 'Coming Soon'. In a recently- released one-minute-48-second trailer, the makers have revealed many new things about the upcoming monster film. It opens with a giant snake constricting an adult man. The trailer also shows some of the lore surrounding the snake, including a powerful snake called Scarlet Naga. The trailer also explores a serpent-filled, action-packed look at the remake.

How is Chinese version different?

But the Chinese version of the survival film is different from the original 'Anaconda' as this time it is a circus troupe that becomes the victim of the great snake. The unlucky troupe members get the squeeze from a monster snake. The original 'Anaconda' follows the plot of a National Geographic film crew, taken hostage by an unhinged hunter. The crew members are forced to join the hunter on a quest to capture the world’s largest snake.

What is 'Anaconda all about?

The Chinese version of the film follows a group of circus performers, on their way to what they think is a new performance location. The troupe members become stranded in a lush rainforest after the boat they were on is destroyed and its captain is devoured by an anaconda with a special red marking.


As the circus troupe crosses paths with a deadly poacher hunting the anaconda, they face this monstrous snake. Though they are circus performers, they realize that they have a few survival tricks up their sleeves.
