The age-old Wisconsin canoe was built around the Stonehenge construction era, claim reports. At least 11 ancient canoes in the region have been found by Wisconsin historians, including a boat that is probably from 2500 BC. In a press release issued on May 23, the Wisconsin Historical Society announced these astounding discoveries. It also said that the lake, where the canoes were found, was part of an ancient shoreline that may have submerged over time.

Back in 2021 and 2022, two more canoes were found in a cache in the lake. Besides, eleven similar canoes have now been discovered over the years. However, all of these objects will not be removed from the lake for research and examination, due to their fragility, researchers claimed.
