Honkai Star Rail 3.0: See release date, banners and character additions

Honkai Star Rail is set to release Version 3.0, titled “Paean of Era Nova,” on January 15. Players can expect new characters and locations.

Release Date

Version 3.0 will be available on January 15, 2025. This update begins a new chapter featuring Amphoreus, an unexplored world central to the evolving story of Honkai Star Rail.

Banners and Character Additions

In Phase 1, which will be released on January 15, 2025, the update brings a new 5-star character, The Herta, to the game. Alongside The Herta, players can roll for three 4-star characters. These are Natasha (Physical), Asta (Fire) and Moze (Lightning).


The Herta, a Genius Society member, wields Ice-Type Erudition. Her skills focus on AoE damage and Interpretation stacks. These stacks enhance her abilities, and her Ultimate targets Elite enemies for increased Ice damage.

In Phase 2, released on February 5, 2025, Aglaea, another 5-star character, becomes available from February 5 to February 25, 2025. This banner includes Sushang (Physical), Tingyun (Lightning) and Hanya (Physical).

Aglaea, a Lightning Remembrance character, summons a memosprite called Garmentmaker for synchronized attacks. This synergy adds unique combat dynamics, leveraging speed and rhythmic battle strategies.

Character Reruns

Phase 1 Reruns: January 15 - February 5, 2025
Players can obtain these 5-star characters during this period. These are Lingsha (Fire), Feixiao (Wind) and Jade (Quantum).

Phase 2 Reruns: February 5 - February 25, 2025
Additional 5-star rerun characters include Boothill (Physical), Robin (Physical) and Silver Wolf (Quantum).
