"Home Alone,""Terminator 2," two of 25 films added to the National Film Registry
The National Film Registry for 2023 will have 25 films. Some of the films are Terminator 2, Home Alone, Apollo 13, Love and Basketball, etc. There were some parameters for deciding each film.

The films are decided keeping their cultural, historical, and artistic value in mind and older than 10 years.
The chosen movies span more than a century of cinematic history, and among them is the 1921 educational film "A Movie Trip Through Filmland," which is the oldest title among this year's additions.
There are currently 875 titles in the National Film Registry, which started proposing films for preservation in 1989.
A television special featuring a screening of this year's films with Hayden and TCM host, film historian, and president and director of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Jacqueline Stewart, who also serves as the chair of the National Film Preservation Board, will air on Turner Classic Movies on Thursday. According to Stewart, the choices made this year demonstrate the "breadth of experiences in American culture, in American history."
