Hollywood freeze-out? Blake Lively ‘may leave US’ amid Justin Baldoni lawsuit fallout
Blake Lively's life may be shifting in Hollywood. As her ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni continues to dominate headlines, new reports suggest she and husband Ryan Reynolds are weighing a major life change. According to the Daily Mail, the couple has been discussing a possible move to the United Kingdom.
But the decision may come with personal and professional trade-offs.

Why is Blake Lively thinking about a move?

Behind the discussions lies a turbulent period in Lively’s career. Her legal fight with Baldoni, her co-star in “It Ends With Us,” has drawn widespread attention, with the two set to go to trial next month.

Another source told the outlet, “Blake isn’t getting the offers. "There hasn’t been anywhere near the same interest in her since the Baldoni drama exploded. She’s burned bridges.”

The situation has reportedly taken a toll, with insiders saying both Lively and Reynolds have been “tired” and “not as playful” lately. “They’re just preoccupied,” one source added, noting the couple has stepped back from social life.

The report from Daily Mail claims the couple has already talked about relocating, with one insider saying, “With Ryan’s huge success with [his Welsh soccer club], Wrexham, he has a great affinity for the UK.” The source added that Lively “could rebrand there,” believing the region offers access to “top of the line filmmakers” who might give her a fresh opportunity.

Is Hollywood distancing itself from Blake Lively?

Industry sentiment appears to have shifted. The Daily Mail report claims “most people in the industry” are “steering clear” of Lively amid the controversy.

The legal battle itself has already seen significant developments. A judge recently dismissed her claims of sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy, ruling that she was an independent contractor rather than an employee.

However, her claims of breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation are still moving forward.

Speaking to Page Six earlier this month, brand expert Kayley Cornelius warned of the potential fallout. “There is a real risk she could … struggle to secure major roles or brand deals going forward,” she explained. “With the impact of cancel culture and increased scrutiny, there is less appetite to take risks on talent who may be seen as controversial or commercially uncertain." Cornelius added that a “legacy name” like Lively is “no longer untouchable.”

What’s holding the family back?

Despite the idea of relocating, possibly even splitting time between Wales and the US, the couple’s family life remains central to any decision, as per a report by Page Six.

Lively and Reynolds share four children: daughters James, Inez and Betty, and son Olin. According to the report, their children’s schooling and friendships in the United States are a major factor.

The Daily Mail described Lively as a “truly amazing mother,” suggesting that family stability could ultimately outweigh professional pressures.

The couple appears to be weighing their options carefully — balancing career uncertainty, public scrutiny, and the realities of raising a young family while navigating one of the most challenging chapters of Lively’s career.
