Pop singer Justin Bieber recently slammed the famous clothing brand H&M by saying that he had not approved the collection, which included T-shirts, jumpers, tote bags, and phone accessories. Following this, the clothing brand has removed the Justin Bieber-inspired collection.

Taking to Instagram, the singer urged people not to purchase the items, which he mentioned were not approved by him and were being sold without his permission or approval.

"The H&M Merch they made out of me is trash, and I didn't approve it," Justin wrote, adding that people should not 'buy' the products.


"I didn't approve of any of the merch collections that they put up at H&M," he continued.

"All without my permission and approval. I wouldn't buy it if I were you," the singer further added.


The company has made a statement on the issue in which they said that necessary procedures were followed. However, the clothing brand has now pulled the line.

Meanwhile, H&M defended the clothing line in a statement, which purportedly includes pictures of the celebrity.

"As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures," a spokesperson for the fashion retailer said.

"But out of respect for the collaboration and Justin Bieber, we have removed the garments from our stores and online."

This is not the first time when a star has lashed out at a brand for using their picture without their consent. Back in 2015, famous singer Rihana sued the brand Topshop and also won a court case against it. The singer sued its parent brand after it sold a sleeveless T-shirt with her picture.
