In a fundraising attempt, rugby legend Kevin Sinfield has started his run to cover 300 miles in just seven days. He will run 300 miles to raise money for people living with motor neurone disease (MND), including his former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow. Sinfield has already raised £5 million in Burrow's name.
The rugby legend has now taken on an "Ultra 7 in 7 Challenge" to raise more money. Sinfield will start from Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on November 13 and arrive at Old Trafford on November 19. Notably, 42-year-old Sinfield ran seven marathons in seven days in 2020.
While talking about the importance of his challenge, Sinfield said that they were not doing it for rugby but to support Burrow, Stephen Darby, Doddie Weir, and other people living with (MND). He stated that rugby has been a "vehicle" to provide the fundraising effort with a "big platform."
