Hero World Challenge: Legendary golfer Woods still missing from the lineup

Tiger Woods has revealed the lineup for his highly-anticipated Hero World Challenge, set to take place at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas during the first weekend of December.

The line up announced by Woods includes 9 players in the 20-man field for Albany Golf Club which will take place in the first weekend of December.


Every eligible member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team, as well as two players who were not initially selected for the team have been included in the line up for the Hero World Challenge.

Apart from Woods absence, Brooks Koepka’s name is also not present in the list. Koepka who is not able to compete due to his suspension from the PGA Tour, a consequence of his involvement with the rival Saudi-funded LIV Golf League. Despite this, Koepka's exceptional talent earned him a captain's pick for the Ryder Cup.

Tiger Woods, a legendary figure in the sport, has been on a competitive hiatus since his withdrawal from the Masters tournament after making the cut. Following the tournament, Woods underwent ankle surgery to address injuries stemming from his car accident in February 2021. Recent sightings of Woods swinging wedges at a foundation event at Pebble Beach suggest progress in his recovery.

Among the participants, Viktor Hovland stands out as the two-time defending champion in the Bahamas. He is joined by two fellow members of Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team, adding an international flair to the competition.
