The 58-year-old actor has offered his massive five-apartment Los Angeles complex, which has served as his home for the past 28 years, for rent. Just a few months after having purchased a place in Carmel, a hotspot for retired Hollywood stars, Brad Pitt could be leaving Tinseltown for good.

In July, Brad Pitt paid $40 million to buy "Seaward", the former home of American author DL James. Carmel, California, is a wealthy seaside community.

Ageing celebrities like the late Betty White, Joan Fontaine, and Doris Day adored going there on vacation. Additionally, Clint Eastwood lives there.

Brad Pitt has moved five hours up the west coast, making it considerably difficult to visit his kids.

Pitt's abrupt relocation was exposed through a mortgage agreement that was made public. The actor lived on the property when he was dating actor Angelina Jolie.
