How Did Michelle Obama Celebrate MLK Day?

Michelle, on the other hand, is concentrating on celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which coincides with the inauguration this year.

"I'm always inspired by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of service," the 61-year-old wrote as the caption for her post from January 20. "Come celebrate Dr. King's life and legacy with me and @WhenWeAllVote this #MLKDay by getting active in your community."

Michelle included the quote, "The time is always right to do what is right," along with a picture of the late activist in her caption.

Michelle did not, however, pass up the chance to pay tribute to the late president and his legacy. President Carter taught all of us what it means to live a life of grace, dignity, justice, and service, the couple wrote in a joint statement after the former president passed away.
