In an interview with Elle, the 26-year-old shared her honest experiences of working with male actors.

Hailing her co-actors, she stated that this could be the reason why these people in the industry are "so successful and so loved and so good."

Calling them "generous," she added that they look forward to serving the story rather than serving themselves.

Edgar-Jones came into the spotlight after starring in the 2020 romantic psychological drama series Normal People as Marianne Sheridan. It was the official adaptation of Sally Rooney’s popular novel of the same name.

She featured in Normal People along with Gladiator II fame actor Paul Mescal. The two stars garnered praise for their roles and later went on to gain global recognition.

Working experience

Sharing her working details with these actors, Edgar-Jones gave the examples of the type of conversations that she used to have with them on the sets.

While talking about Powell, she said that he always used to be like finding out what's "Kate’s journey in this" project.

She lauded Sebastian Stan and said he was "completely invested in Noa’s journey" in the film.

As far as Mescal is concerned, Edgar-Jones said he's like "playing tennis with your best friend."

However, Edgar-Jones does feel nervous about getting to work with somebody "who might not be so chill with it," since there is "so much ego that can exist in this industry.”
