Here's how University Of California, Berkeley honours rapper Nicki Mina

The University of California, Berkeley is getting ready to offer an Afro- American studies course named after the famous Rapper Nicki Minaj from the 2023 spring semester.

The information appeared on Twitter by the Professor in charge of the course- Peace and Love El Henson.

What will the course offer?

As per the University's academic guide, the title of the new course is "Nicki Minaj: The Black Barbie Femmecee & Hip Hop Feminisms; it will be structured on 90-minute lecture modules on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


The Professor in charge, a post-doctoral fellow on Black studies, hopes the new course will stimulate critical thinking about Nicki's productions. In addition, it will encourage the students to understand the broader perspectives of the historical/social structures of hip-hop feminism.
