Here's how California's first 'inflation relief' payments work

From this Friday, Californians will start to get their first tax refunds. This plan aims to help the taxpayers from rising fuel and gas prices. There are several ways to pay back the citizens; let's see how it will work.

As per the tweet by California Governor Gavin News, over 23 million Californians will start receiving the "inflation relief" payments this Friday. In June, the lawmakers approved this bill through Middle-Class Tax Refund, by which eligible citizens of California will get $200 to $1,050 as a refund, depending on their tax filings.

How soon will the initial payments be made?

The first tax refund recipients will be citizens who got a Golden State Stimulus to check through direct deposit in 2021.

The first payment round is expected to occur from October 7 to 25. And the second round may take place from October 28 to November 14.

Whosoever filled out their taxes online will get the refund online; on the other hand, the citizens who filed taxes on paper will get a debit card through their mail.
