According to reports by the LGBTQ Victory Fund, a political action community there is an incredible increase of 18 percent seen in the last two years in the LGBTQ candidates running the office.
November 08, 2022, ballot count was in all 678 LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) candidates. Out of the 678, the winning candidate results were announced within the promised time. The votes continued to tally until Wednesday.
In an interview, the Victory Fund press secretary, Albert Fujii, said that the LGBTQ or the rainbow flag is already waving this year and expects many more wins for the community. Adding to this, Fujii also said that these wins indicate increased transphobia and homophobia sweeping in favor of the community.
And the US voters genuinely wish to cast a vote for LGBTQ leaders. On a sweeter note, Albert Fujii ended the interview by saying that LGBTQ candidates' grit and grassroots support are paying off in multiple ways.
