What is Heardle?

Heardle is a simple music game specially designed for music enthusiasts. The game takes a lot of inspiration from Wordle, the viral word puzzle known for its simplicity. The only difference is that you need to guess the correct song for the day instead of a word. Heardle was created by Omaske Studio, a digital music production house, which later sold the game to the music streaming platform Spotify.

As the name suggests, you need to hear a sound clip and guess the song name and the artist to get the correct answer. You can play only one game of Heardle per day, and that too, only on a browser. Unlike other money-hungry games, the game doesn’t require any permissions and contains no advertisements.

How to play Heardle?

Log on to the Spotify page for Heardle. On the homepage, you will listen to the first second of the sound clip to make your first guess. With every additional attempt, you get to listen to an additional portion of the clip. In all, you get six attempts to get the correct answer and sixteen seconds from the song to make an informed guess.
