Following the popularity of its linguistic counterpart, Heardle has taken social media by storm. If you've become addicted to the daily word game Wordle, you might appreciate a new puzzle to work on.

What do we mean by Heardle?
Heardle is a musical guessing entertaining game in which the participant must answer which song was chosen at random that day.

"A respectful homage to Wordle, with a musical twist," the site reads.

What's the best way to play Heardle?
The principle is straightforward: you must pick the song from a little sample of music.

You are given the first second of music to listen to in order to do so.

If that isn't enough, you can choose to hear another second, and so on, until you answer or run out of attempts.

There are six seconds available, and the song is the same for everyone.

The game can be found here and is entirely free to play.

On social networks, admirers have already praised its addictiveness.
