Hayley Erbert, the spouse of Derek Hough, had emergency brain surgery

During the couple's Symphony of Dance tour, the former pro dancer turned judge from "Dancing with the Stars" informed his Instagram followers early on Thursday morning that Erbert "became disoriented and was taken to the hospital" following their show in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.

It is frequently brought on by a brain artery burst, usually as a consequence of a head injury.

Hough would not disclose if Erbert had been hit or fell recently, but last December the two "got into a pretty scary car accident in the mountains."


After the accident last December Erbert said she and her husband are both okay and there was no major damage. She just had a swollen face with 4-5 stitches.

She continued by posting pictures of her facial injuries and said, "I am so amazed and appreciative of my body's rapid healing." I'm making it happen that 2023 is a year of strength and health. No more wounds.

After the procedure, Hough made sure to mention that his wife, whom he married in August, was "in stable condition."

Both prominent friends and fans hurried to his comments area to offer her their love and best wishes right away.

How Erbert's health concern may impact their next tour dates has not yet been disclosed by Hough.
