Recent reports have revealed that US President- elect Donald Trump has eventually picked a very famous tech billionaire to head NASA after he regains office in the month of January.

According to Associated Press, Jared Isaacman who is aged 41 is actually known for his close ties to Tesla CEO Elon Musk and has gained prominence as a private astronaut while having commanded two commercial spaceflights with SpaceX. It should be also noted that he conducted the first private spacewalk during a recent mission which further solidified his role in the burgeoning commercial space industry.

Though it requires confirmation, but if it happens then Jared Isaacman will replace Bill Nelson who is a former Democratic Senator and has previously led NASA under US President Joe Biden. Jared Isaacman expressed his gratitude for the nomination while emphasizing his passion for space exploration and commitment to advancing the leadership of US in this field, asserted Associated Press.
He eventually aims to oversee NASA's one of the most significant and ambitious Artemis program, which plans to return astronauts to the Moon and eventually send humans to Mars.
Jared Isaacman's background includes founding Shift4 Payments which is a successful payment processing company and he has been involved in various philanthropic efforts, noted Associated Press.
