Malibu is grappling with the aftermath of the Palisades Fire, which has left widespread destruction. Among the wreckage, a few homes managed to survive.

The Palisades Fire has caused massive destruction in Malibu. Many luxurious homes along the Pacific Coast Highway have been reduced to rubble. A few mansions remain standing despite the overwhelming damage. Aerial photos capture this unexpected survival of a handful of properties.

A three-story mansion owned by Waste Management CEO David Steiner is one of the few structures untouched by the fire. This $8 million white home, built in 2000, overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Rubble from neighboring houses smolders on either side, highlighting its unlikely survival.
