Has Jayden Spicer been found? What we know about the missing 10 year old Kentucky boy’s disappearance

The family of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer says his body has been found after a week-long search in Breathitt County. Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the discovery. Jayden’s aunt, Samantha Brunty, told ABC 36 that the boy’s body was recovered on Tuesday, August 12, following extensive search efforts.

Jayden was last seen around August 5 at his home on Panbowl Branch Road in Jackson. Kentucky State Police began investigating the next morning after receiving a call.

Over the past week, search teams have used drones, K-9 units, sonar, and ground crews to find him. Authorities have also announced plans to expand the search.


On Tuesday, August 12, Father Sichko posted on X, formerly Twitter: "ETERNAL REST FOR LITTLE JAYDEN SPICER - I AM OFFERING TO COVER FUNERAL EXPENSES IF NEEDED. MAY HE REST IN PEACE" (via X).

No official confirmation from the authorities

As of now, Kentucky State Police have not confirmed Jayden’s death or released details about where or how he was found. No arrests have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing.

Jayden was described as a white male, 5’1” tall, with a slim build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue “Sonic the Hedgehog” pajama pants and a matching shirt.

Although there are no confirmations from authorities, the internet is buzzing with theories. Some of them are hinting at his disappearance, linking to his mother. An X user posted ‘It appears that his mom, Felicia, has confessed & has taken the authorities to where his body was put.

A X account named DarksideCrimes posted, ‘Sadly Jayden Spicer has been found. A family member has confirmed. His mother Felicia has confessed to him being deceased and location.’ RIP sweet boy!’

On August 8, posting a photo of his mother, an X user, Matt Thibodeau said ‘Looks like #JaydenSpicer’s mom has a past. She’s been arrested multiple times & charged with Child Endangerment & Wanton Endangerment. This doesn’t mean she had a hand in her son’s disappearance, but it’s definitely worth noting…’.
