Massive search to nab Fito

A further post by Tendencias said, "The National Police reports that they are searching for aliases #Fito within the Litoral Penitentiary. They cannot deny or confirm if he escaped."

Authorities took the help of thousands of soldiers to move Ecuadorian gang lord Fito to a maximum security prison. Security agencies are conducting a massive search at the Litoral Penitentiary in Guayaquil, where Fito has been held for sending death threats to a murdered political candidate.

No trace of Fito

The jail authorities planned to move Fito, or Jose Adolfo Macias, to La Roca. But they could not find him. Confirming it, the police have said that the search for Fito is taking place within the prison. They said that they cannot be sure he has escaped, but it appears he is nowhere to be found at present.

Ecuador's presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio, was shot three times in the head leaving a campaign rally in August 2023. Before his murder, he claimed to have been threatened by Fito and was seemingly scared.
