Harjinder Singh denied bond after deadly U-turn that killed 3; school bus video emerges on social media shows same violation going unnoticed
Harjinder Singh, an Indian-origin truck driver, faced denial of bond after a fatal Florida accident. The accident resulted in three deaths. It ignited a political clash between the Trump administration and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Secreta...

A minivan in the adjacent lane could not avoid the truck’s trailer and collided with it, killing the minivan’s driver and two passengers. Singh and a passenger in his truck were uninjured.
The incident quickly became a political flashpoint, with the US Department of Homeland Security clashing with California Governor Gavin Newsom over Singh’s work permit and driver’s licence status.
The Trump administration claimed that Singh was in the US illegally.
Following this incident, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Aug. 21 that they are stopping all visas for foreign truck drivers.
“Effective immediately we are pausing all issuance of worker visas for commercial truck drivers. The increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on US roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers,” he posted on X.
Later, a video shared on Instagram by user @gurlovepreetpabla, (Gur Lovepreet Pabla) showed a school bus making an illegal U-turn in plain view of a “No U-Turn” sign.
It is unclear where this video originated and what date it was recorded.
He said, “Do you see this? A bus full of school kids making the same illegal U-turns.’
And asked, “But you wouldn't hear any politician talking about it. Why?”
Then he asserted, ‘because the driver isn’t an immigrant. The driver doesn’t wear a turban. And this doesn’t fit their agenda.’
“When an immigrant driver did the same thing in Florida(Hajinder Singh incident), everybody talked about it—governors, senators, even the vice president. The truth is, they don’t really care about safety; they care about votes.”
He accused of division, saying, “We are being divided by skin tone, appearance, and identity. Safety should matter equally, regardless of who is driving.”
The post urged viewers to focus on unity rather than division: “Let’s unite, not divide.”
