Hardware Wars: First ever Star Wars 'Parody' film gets Blu-Ray release date

Fans will be able to witness the 1978 parody short film after its release. It will be available in an all-new 2K transfer shot from the original negative, allowing them to see every detail of the cardboard sets and the wires holding the spaceships up.
The disc will be released on February 20, 2024. It will cost you $19.95. If interested, it can be preordered now on MVD's website.
Apart from being the first parody, what makes this film special is that George Lucas has called Hardware Wars his favorite Star Wars parody.
While being Lucas' favourite, the parody also was able to score Paul Frees for voice over, the same voice who had narrated the original Star Wars teaser trailer back in 1977.
The movie was shot in less than a week with just cardboard sets and visible wires, home appliances with a budget of around $8,000.
Now, after 50 years later, the original version of this classic short that will be restored for the fans in High Definition for a whole new generation of cult movie fans to discover!
