'Happy Valley' season 3 release date: Watch teaser of final edition of crime drama

The long wait for the fans of Sergeant Catherine Cawood (played by Sarah Lancashire) is over. The third and final edition of the famous BBC One crime drama "Happy Valley" will be launched on January 1, 2023, at 9 pm. Fans have already got the first glimpse of Sarah in the role of the hugely popular sergeant in the teaser released recently by BBC One.

What is in the final season?

A chain of events happens when Sergeant Catherine discovers a gang war victim's body in a drain reservoir. The sergeant is back to face Tommy Lee Royce. Her 16-year-old grandson Ryan has choices about the kind of connection he wants to keep.


Ryan wants to be in touch with the man Catherine refuses to accept as his (Ryan's) father, leaving Catherine's sister, Claire, puzzled.
Season three picks up from where series two ended with Tommy put behind bars and his son Ryan desperately trying to find out the mystery behind Catherine denouncing Tommy.



Sally, the creator of the Happy Valley series, is delighted with the fans' support and enthusiasm the franchise has received. She is also thrilled to have all the earlier actors back for the last season.
