Hailey Bieber denies liking video criticising Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco; calls it fabricated

Model Hailey Bieber has officially denied liking a video that mocked singer Justin Bieber’s former girlfriend Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco's relationship.

The clip was shared by a content creator on TikTok on February 14, Page Six reported.

The video gained significant attention on social media after it was claimed that Hailey had "liked" it.

Model denies claims

Amid viral claims about her giving a thumbs up to the clip, a representative for Hailey said in a statement on Sunday that "this never happened”.

“This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalize off of an old, tired narrative,” Page Six quoted her representative as saying.

What's the matter?

On February 14, a TikTok creator with the handle "@courtneypresto" heavily criticised Gomez and Blanco’s recent cover shoot for the Interview Magazine.

In the caption, the person wrote, “this is the WORST”.

However, the content creator received negative reviews in the comments section, where some wrote that she was “being a little shady” toward the couple.

The video got viral when the content creator went on to claim that Hailey has also seen it. She even shared an alleged screenshot of Hailey’s "like" on it.

The person claims that Hailey's response proves that her fight with her husband's former girlfriend was “alive and well.” She called it a "definitive proof" and added that Hailey is "lying" when she claims that all between her and Gomez is good and there is absolutely no beef.

Selena Gomez vs Hailey Bieber still on?

The two stars have been pitted against each other from time to time after both were romantically linked to the Baby singer.

Gomez, 32, had even spoken in Hailey's defense when the latter received "death threats" and hateful comments on social media. She had in March 2023 said that she has always been an advocate for kindness and "really want this all to stop”.

In reply, Hailey, 28, thanked the Only Murders in the Building star for speaking against the criticism.

At that time, Hailey asked all to be "more thoughtful about what we post and what we say". She added that there's always an opportunity to meet people with "more empathy and compassion.”

Earlier, Hailey had also denied reports of her stealing Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez.

After being romantically linked to each other for months, Justin proposed to Hailey in July 2018 and the couple got married in September that year. They welcomed their first child in August last year.

Few months ago, Hailey had even liked Gomez’s engagement post.
