Grizzly bear attacks two men at Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest. This is what happened

The two men, who were sophomores, went off on a trail looking for deer and elk antlers. Remarkably, they were also on the Northwestern College Wrestling team. The station said that their teammates were also in the national forest but were separated at the time of the grizzly bear attack.

One injured man is from Wyoming, Evanston, named Kendell Cummings. The other man is Utah's Brady Lowry. The grizzly bear first attacked Brady Lowry, and as Kendell Cummings tried to save Lowry by jumping onto the grizzly's back, it led the bear to attack Cummings.

The boys were hailed to show utmost courage during the ‘horrific’ attack.





The wrestling team coach Jim Zeigler said the two boys loved each other, and the team communicated through group messages. He recalled how he keeps thanking the two boys for loving each other, which paid off on the day the bear attacked.

Kendell Cummings and Brady Lowry called 911, and others nearby managed to get them to the trailhead, where they met the rescue teams. Lowry went to the hospital by ambulance, and Cummings had to be flown. The condition of the boys is unknown yet.
