The Green Bay Packers announced strong financial results for the 2025 fiscal year, highlighted by a 39.3% increase in operating profit, largely fueled by a record $432.6 million in national revenue from the NFL. The figure, received by each of the league’s 32 franchises, primarily stems from the NFL’s massive media rights deals and underscores the league’s continued dominance in live sports entertainment.

With each of the 32 NFL teams receiving $432.6 million, the league distributed over $13 billion in total revenue during the previous fiscal year.

The Packers - the NFL’s only publicly owned team - released their financials on the same day they opened 2025 training camp. Outgoing team president and CEO Mark Murphy, who is retiring after 17 years at the helm, attributed much of the revenue growth to the NFL’s unique place in the shifting media landscape.

"NFL games and sports in general are among the few things people still watch live," Murphy said in a statement. "I continue to be amazed by the league’s ability to generate revenue."

The Packers also saw their local revenue rise 13.7%, from $251.8 million to $286.4 million, benefiting from an additional regular-season home game under the NFL's new scheduling format.

Overall, the team’s total revenue rose 9.9%, reaching $719.1 million, while expenses increased by 7% to $635.4 million.

Despite the strong operational growth, the Packers' net income fell by 12.5%, from $98.1 million to $85.6 million. The drop was attributed to a steep decline in non-operating income, which fell from $38 million to just $1.9 million, driven by weaker market and investment returns.

Murphy, who will officially hand over leadership to Ed Policy during the franchise’s annual shareholders meeting, expressed pride in the organization’s growth: "We were in good shape when I started, but the numbers have grown dramatically. I feel good about where we’re headed."
