After the Recording Academy decided to consider her song "Super Freaky Girl" for an award in the pop category rather than the rap category, Nicki Minaj had a message for the organisation.
She said that she had no problem with being moved out of the rap category as long as they were all being treated equally and fairly. She said that if her song "Super Freaky Girl" has to be moved out of rap, so should "Big Energy". She said that both songs have the same producer. She continued her tweet and said that anyone who says otherwise is a troll or a Nicki hater.
Nicki has said in an Instagram post that you are not paying attention if one cannot tell by now that there is a systematic push to give more recent artists things that they really don't deserve over individuals who have been deserving for many years. Furthermore, this is not meant to imply that any song or female rapper is awful. She said that any rapper, whether a male or a female, who wins a Grammy should be proud of themselves. She even made this argument in a video post.
