Grammy Awards 2023: Know how to watch live

After a two-year-long break because of the pandemic, the Grammy is back this year to be held on February 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The talk of the town is Beyoncé this year – decorated with 28 Grammys thus far. Beyoncé needs three wins to draw and four to beat Georg Solti – who holds most Grammys till date.

Beyoncé has been nominated in nine categories, including the most prestigious ones - album, song, and record of the year - where she has had difficulties winning in the past. The Recording Academy, responsible for the awards, has faced criticism for not recognizing Black artists with major awards. To address this, they have taken steps to improve diversity and inclusivity, such as getting rid of most of the nominating committees and seeking a younger and more diverse group of voters.

The musical awards will recognise recordings released in the timeline from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. This year, there were 16,741 submissions eligible for consideration, with notable artists, such as Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift competing for top awards. Comedian, Trevor Noah, will host the show, for the third consecutive year.


Grammy Awards 2023: Kick off time, Live stream details

The premiere ceremony, where 80 out of 91 awards will be handed out, will take place at the Microsoft Theater in LA, and will start at 3:30 p.m. ET (12:30 p.m. PT). It can be watched live on live.Grammy.com and the Recording Academy's YouTube page. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Randy Rainbow, with performances by Arooj Aftab, Blind Boys of Alabama, Madison Cunningham, Samara Joy, La Marisoul from La Santa Cecilia, Anoushka Shankar and Carlos Vives.


The red carpet event, featuring fashion and interviews, will commence at 4 pm ET on E! channel, followed by "Live From E!: Grammys" starting at 6 pm. Celebrity arrivals will be streamed on grammy.com starting 6:30 pm.
