Google releases 'Year in Search data for 2022', Netflix dominates TV show lists

Netflix TV shows dominated the Google search list in 2022. However, the streaming giant has failed to get any of its movies to the top of the list. Google released a bag of data for people to analyse the trends worldwide.

TV shows and movies had the highest searches worldwide in 2022, and Netflix dominated the TV list, with 60 per cent of the people inquiring about its shows. The list generally throws up in maximum numbers, and naturally, people search for what is in the news in the short term. For instance, G. I Jane, though not a highly searched movie in 2022, showed up in high searches in the UK. Brits searched this to know what caused Will Smith to slap Chris Rock.
