Enabling dark mode on Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides is a great way to reduce eye strain and make the text easier to read, especially if you're working in a dimly lit environment.
Google Chrome
Launch Google Chrome on Windows, Mac or LinuxType chrome://flags in the address bar and hit enter
Search for dark mode
Open the drop-down menu for "Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents"
Select "Enabled"
Relaunch it
Microsoft Edge
Launch the Microsoft Edge browserType edge://flags and hit enter
Repeat the same steps used for Chrome
Hit Restart button
On Android, iPhone or iPad
Google Docs is available on Android, iPhone as well as iPad. It lets you switch between dark and light modes easily. If your device supports Dark mode by default, the Google Docs will use the system's default settings and come in dark or light mode (depending on the user's settings by default).- Launch the Google Docs app
- Tap on three-line-menu
- Go to Settings > Choose theme
- One has the option to choose between these three - Dark, Light or System Default.
