Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts married her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign, in a traditional wedding ceremony in their backyard on Friday, September 8, 2023. Robin shared pictures of the two dressed as beautiful brides in white wedding gowns. The couple has been together for 18 years and are both cancer survivors.
Robin Roberts wrote on Instagram with her wedding photos, "An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous reception…ohhhh the dancing!! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come!"

Amber Laign, who is the founder of the natural product company Plant Juice Oils, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Robin Roberts stepped away from Good Morning America in February 2022 to care for Amber Laign during her chemotherapy treatment.
Robin had shared a video on Twitter in 2022, explaining that Amber took care of her during her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in 2007, and now it was her turn.
"She and I have been together almost 17 years and have helped each other through our challenges like my journey with cancer. It’s my turn now to be there for her as she was with me,” Roberts said.
In 2012, Robin Roberts was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome, for which underwent a bone marrow transplant.
