Vinson’s Atreus, however, appears visibly younger than his video game counterpart. Showrunners have confirmed the character is 10 years old in this adaptation. The project is led by showrunner and writer Ronald D. Moore, popular for his work on Battlestar Galactica and Outlander. Moore stepped in after prior creative changes saw the exit of earlier showrunner Rafe Judkins.

The initial two episodes will be directed by Emmy Award winner Frederick E.O. Toye, well known for his work on Shōgun, The Boys, and Fallout.

Production is currently underway in Vancouver, with a two-season arrangement already secured.
