Santa Monica’s sequel, ‘God of Ragnarök’ is officially with a Metacritic rating of 94, becoming Sony’s highest-rated PS5 game and also the second-best game of the year 2022.

Reviews for the latest edition of the iconic game ‘God of War’, and ‘God of War Ragnarök’ has become the highest-rated game on the Sony PlayStation 5. The game has garnered a Metacritic rating of 94, making it the second-highest-rated video game of 2022, just behind Elden Ring (96). However, among first-party titles, Kratos’s latest exploits in God of War Ragnarök trump all of them.
‘God of War’ is arguably the most iconic adventure video game of all time. The first version of the game was released on PlayStation 2 in 2005, and since then, the game has become extremely popular among enthusiasts worldwide. The game was developed by Santa Monica Studio.

‘God of War Ragnarök’ is the ninth installment in the series, and the game is available on PS4 and PS5. As expected, the pre-launch reviews of the game have been over the roof, as the game is all set for a worldwide release on November 9.
As per media sources, ‘God of War Ragnarök’ is set three years after the events that took place in the previous edition. The game features Kratos and his teenage son, Atreus, who traverse through nine realms to stop Ragnarök. The ninth edition of the game was first teased at the end of the previous edition that came out in 2018.
