Gladys Knight and George Clooney are two of Kennedy Centre honorees

Usually, artists such as Gladys Knight or U2, the Irish band, would be the centre of attraction and word headlines. The tables will turn at the Kennedy Centre Honors which will be hosted on Sunday.

Every year, the Kennedy group facilitates the contribution of people to their artistic influence on the culture of America. The attendees included President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris with her spouse.

Apart from Gladys Knight, Conductor, and ground-breaking composer Tania Leon, contemporary Christian singer Amy Grant, director, actor, producer, and human rights activist George Clooney will join the entire crew of the Irish band U2. These people will be honored for the Performing Arts by the John F. Kennedy Centre.




George Clooney, 61, became a household name and rose to prominence by playing Doug Ross in ER, a television show. He is the only actor in this year's list of honorees. He has formed the Clooney Foundation for Justice with his wife, Amal Clooney, a human rights lawyer.

Gladys Knight, who turned 78 this year, began her career at 16 when she and her family members started a band. Her first album was released in 1960. There was no stopping for Knight hence after.
