Gladiator 2: Accident mars Gladiator sequel shooting in Morocco, 10 injured
An accident occurred while filming Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 in Morocco, injuring ten.

A spokesperson of Paramount has confirmed the mishap which took place on June 7 but said that the injuries were not life-threatening.
In a statement issued after the accident, the company said that it is monitoring the situation closely and taking all necessary precautions. It said further that safety and medical teams were on the set and they acted quickly.
The spokesperson added that all the injured persons are taking treatment. He said that their well-being if of utmost importance to the film company.
The sequel follows Gladiator of 2000. Russel Crowe got the best actor Oscar award for the portrayal of Maximus Decimus Meridius, the protagonist. He was sold into slavery as a child who rose to become a gladiator and a general.
In Gladiator 2, Paul Mescal plays the role of Lucius, the son of Lucilla in the sequel. Nielsen will play the character of Lucilla. Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, and Pedro Pascal are the other stars of this movie. The Gladiator sequel has been dated November 22, 2024.
