Gigi Paris breaks her silence on Glen Powell split and Sydney Sweeney rumors: “I just wanted respect”

Model Gigi Paris is finally opening up about her headline-making breakup with actor Glen Powell—and she’s not holding back! Appearing on the June 10 episode of Emma Klipstein’s Too Much podcast, Paris candidly discussed her split from Powell, the swirling rumors about his chemistry with Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney, and how she found closure after their three-year romance.

Paris revealed that cracks in the relationship began about six months before their official split in April 2023. While fans speculated that Powell’s on-screen sizzle with Sweeney was to blame, Paris clarified that the real issue was respect—or a lack thereof. “I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public. Like, don’t make an ass out of me,” Paris said. “Just have some decency, you know?”

She recounted a pivotal phone call from Powell that changed everything, saying, “He called and said, the producers and I have discussed that I think it’s best that you don’t come to visit [set]. And that’s when I hung up. I was like, this motherf----- is done to me.” Paris flew to Australia anyway to end things face-to-face, describing it as “the hardest thing I’d ever had to do.”


Addressing the persistent Sweeney rumors, Paris was philosophical: “I hope they’re in love… at least it would make it worth it for me, you know?” She also criticized Powell for not publicly shutting down the romance speculation, noting, “That’s all that needed to be said. And that wasn’t said… Never once.”

Powell, for his part, later admitted that the breakup made the film’s promotional tour difficult, while Sweeney called the rumors “fun” for fans but insisted their chemistry was just good acting.

As for Paris, she’s moved on: “It’s really none of my business anymore… I just want to walk away from that, because it’s a f------ circus.” And with that, Gigi Paris is writing her own happy ending.
