Gigi and Bella Hadid reveal a secret about their father and a half-sister they were not aware of

In a revelation that has stunned the fashion world and fans alike, supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid have publicly introduced their 23-year-old half-sister, Aydan Nix, marking the first time her existence has been acknowledged by the family.

The announcement was made via a statement to the Daily Mail, with the sisters expressing both joy and a deep sense of family unity following the unexpected discovery.

Aydan Nix is the daughter of Mohamed Hadid, the real estate developer and patriarch of the Hadid family, and Terri Hatfield Dull. The relationship between Mohamed and Dull occurred after his 2001 divorce from Yolanda Hadid, Gigi and Bella’s mother. For most of her life, Aydan was unaware of her biological connection to the Hadids, having been raised in Florida by the man she believed to be her father until his sudden passing when she was 19.


After her father’s death, Aydan’s curiosity led her to take a DNA test, which revealed her biological ties to the Hadid family. Gigi, 30, and Bella, 28, first connected with Aydan in late 2023, and since then, the siblings have welcomed her warmly.

“We’ve embraced Aydan with open arms,” read their statement. “She’s spent time with all of us, including our dad, and we’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family”.

The sisters also emphasized their commitment to supporting Aydan as she navigates her new reality, noting, “As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations—with Aydan included—about how to support and protect her. Aydan and her family value their privacy, and we fully respect that. We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York”.

Aydan Nix is reportedly a recent graduate of Parsons School of Design and, like her half-sisters, has dabbled in modeling. The Hadid family’s openness and unity in embracing Aydan reflect a new chapter for the high-profile clan, who have asked the public and media to respect her privacy as she adjusts to her new-found family ties.
