Ghislaine Maxwell, UK socialite, gets a 20 year imprisonment in sex trafficking case
New York judge sentenced 20 years imprisonment to UK socialite, Ghislaine Maxwell in a major sex trafficking case involvement.

The sixty-year-old is expected to spend the rest of her life in jail, in the light of the jail term given to her. Maxwell was convicted with the charges of sex trafficking last year with five out of six votes against her. Her lawyers had requested leniency from the Manhattan court bench but it was of no use. Judge Alison Nathan was the one to deliver the judgment that had been decided by the U.S. Probation Office. According to AFP reports, the prosecutors had asked for 30 to 55 years of jail term.
Now the question arises, who is Ghislaine Maxwell? Ghislaine Maxwell is an Oxford-educated, daughter of the deceased British press baron Robert Maxwell. Due to her education and family background, she became a major attraction to the London socialite scene in the last few decades. Until 1991 she used to work with her father, but after that when she started a romantic relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, she moved to New York.
She also runs a non-profit group for the cause of protecting the oceans, thus creating an impact on the socialite scene. When Jeffrey Epstein was charged with sexual abuse in 2008, after which he received imprisonment, Ghislaine was also tied as the helper on the ongoing investigations. She was finally arrested in 2020 by the United States authorities.
The verdict of the judges states that Maxwell was involved with sourcing and grooming the minor girls for Epstein, some of which were minor and were later sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein. Even though the defense argued that she shouldn’t be responsible for the crimes of her partner, the court begged to differ by saying that she was adult enough to make her own choices in this matter.
