Ghislaine Maxwell suggests Epstein sought a date with Princess Diana, praises Trump as ‘gentleman’, social media raises cover-up theory
Ghislaine Maxwell, in newly released tapes, suggested Jeffrey Epstein may have sought a date with Princess Diana, potentially arranged by Rosa Moncton. Maxwell didn't confirm the meeting but acknowledged efforts to initiate it. The timing of this ...

Maxwell, 63, made the comments during a two-day interview last month with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, according to a transcript (dated July 24) shared by Blanche on Friday, August 22.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for her role in recruiting and grooming young women for Epstein to sexually abuse and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
When asked if Epstein had ever met with someone from the Royal family, Maxwell said that Epstein went to London without her, despite it being her hometown and suggested he might have encountered the late Princess at a “big event” in London during the 1990s.
What Maxwell said about Princess Diana’s meeting with Epstein
“I don’t know if he sat with Diana or he met with Diana and he’d already met her. I don’t know, but this, I believe, was organised by Rosa," referring to Rosa Moncton, a mutual acquaintance of both Diana and Epstein and Diana’s best friend, as stated by Maxwell in the document.
“I don’t know if she was being set up as a date for him, maybe because she was… I don’t want to speak bad of Diana, but… I’m not going to do that," she said.
Maxwell also noted that Epstein lived in London during the 1980s and was in touch with Britain’s high society members.
Could it be a cover-up for the Epstein files?
Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred from a low-security prison in Florida to a minimum-security prison camp in Bryan, Texas, at the beginning of this month.
The move followed Maxwell's two-day meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Tallahassee, Florida.
Moreover, in the DOJ interview transcript, Maxwell claimed she had never seen Donald Trump misbehave. She described Trump as "a gentleman in all respects" and said she "never witnessed the President in any inappropriate setting in any way."
Social media users were quick to raise questions about the timing of this revelation, her praise of Trump and her recent transfer to a minimum-security facility in Texas, suggesting this transcription might be staged.
Political commentator and author Brian Tyler Cohen questioned her recent prison transfer.
“Why was Maxwell rewarded with a transfer to a minimum security prison?”
Additionally, some users indicate that this was not the original Epstein file, and this interview was staged, referring to Todd Blanche, who was Donald Trump's former personal attorney.
One X handle @Dede_Watson commented, “In the interest of transparency, Todd Blanche was TRUMP’S former personal attorney. He was sent to STAGE an interview with Maxwell in order to show Americans that Trump is not a pedophile.”
“Maxwell is most certainly fearful if she releases any names as well as awaiting a pardon or early release for her silence,” she added.
Another user, @thejonacosta, commented, “Quick Reminder: THESE ARE NOT THE EPSTEIN FILES. This is a transcript of a staged interview with a jailed pedophile that NOBODY ASKED FOR.”
