US President Donald Trump, who is usually seen snubbing journalists and getting into candid arguments with political leaders, also often loses his cool over his own staff at the Oval Office. A fresh video of Trump’s lack of patience for distractions surfaced on social media, where he was seen banishing one of the prominent White House staff members from the Oval Office for making too much noise during a press conference on Monday (August 25, 2025).

According to media reports, Trump was in the middle of a press conference and was answering questions from journalists when he was interrupted because of some disturbance. A Daily Mail report claimed that the staffer behind the interruption was White House staff secretary Will Scharf.

There is a lack of clarity over what exactly unfolded at the Oval Office that triggered the US president, but a report from Daily Mail UK claimed that a noisy cell phone caught his attention, prompting him to ask Scharf to “get out of the room.” Meanwhile, a report from the Daily Express US suggested that Trump banished the White House staffer for opening the door while he was addressing the conference.

The incident took place when a reporter asked the president about his recent decision to buy a portion of Intel on behalf of the US government.

“As you know, the stock market went up almost a thousand points on Friday, and it went up not because of…,” Trump said before stopping mid-sentence, as quoted by The Daily Mail UK. “Hello, who is that?” Trump was seen and heard asking in the video, which surfaced on social media. “Who is that back there? Alright, get out of the room!” he said. Immediately after Trump snubbed Scharf, laughter was heard from his cabinet members before an Oval Office door slammed shut.

Who is Will Scharf?

Will Scharf is a crucial part of Trump’s Oval Office staff who handles the physical copies of his executive orders during every signing conference and explains the importance of each directive. He was a member of Trump’s legal team before joining the new administration. Scharf was handling all the documents that Trump was about to sign just moments before facing his wrath.
