Republican George Santos has been facing anger for allegedly misrepresenting critical information in his CV. The 34-year-old politician faced public criticism after The New York Times reported that Santos allegedly faked information related to his financial assets, education, philanthropic activities, and employment history. Besides, the politician reportedly did not inform about the legal charges he faced in 2008 in Brazil.
As per The New York Times report, Santos had mentioned in his CV that he graduated from Baruch College in 2010, but the institution officials have denied having any record of him for that year. Wall Street firms Goldman Sachs and Citigroup have also told the Times that "no record" suggests that Santos ever worked with them.
In addition, the New York Times could not find any records of the family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties, which Santos mentioned in his CV.
